The XVI International Forum Security and Safety Technologies organized by Reed Exhibitions and Groteck Business Media under the auspices of the Organizational Committee (The Chairman is V.A. Ozerov, Chairman of the Defence and Security Committee of the Federation Council), was held in February in Moscow Crocus Expo.

Balanced combination of three segments of the security and safety market at SST Moscow: dialogue of business with business, authority and end user

 

During 16 years SST Moscow consistently strengthens its status of main ground for the dialogue between manufacturers, integrators, resellers, assembling and engineering organizations, corporate customers, representatives of small and medium-size business, legislative and executive authority.

 

Throughout the event preparation period the organizers had close contacts with the companies of this industry, took a sincere interest in their expectations, and proposed the most optimal format of exposition and business seminars and conferences. The product segmentation of the exposition into technical means of security, information and communication security, and transport pavilion that became the Forum premiere as well as the creation of new zones “Customers” and “Assembling and Engineering Organizations” for discussing the most topical problems of security and safety were dictated by the market itself.

 

SST Moscow largest section, technical means and security systems and solutions, was presented by ITV, Acumen, Axis Communications, V1 Electronics, Group LB, Mobotix, MICRODIGITAL, Pyronix, Luis+, Elics, KODOS, Ultra-Star, TekhnikServis-SB, Senator-SB, and many others. The information and communication security systems were demonstrated by Qnap Services, NELK, Maskom, STT Group, REIKOM, Speech Technology Center, the Federal Security Service and Federal Space Agency in their collective expositions and other exhibitors.  The transport security facilities needed by the market and state-owned enterprises as never before were presented by АМТ-GROUP, Vlibor SYSTEMS, Elektronika, etc. The Forum-2011 became a debut for Layta, Global Security, Dexi, Lahoux Optics, DiGiVi, and RCS s.p.a.

 

International Forum Security and Safety Technologies is traditionally held with the support of the executive and legislative authorities. During the last few years the Security Committee of the State Duma participates proactively in the Forum preparation and activity. The state’s interest in the event is also evidenced by the proactive participation of its representatives in the organization of the business program. The representatives of the Ministry of Transport, agencies and services within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Security Service, Federal Service of Technical and Export Control, Federal Protective Service, General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Social Development, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Culture, Federal Tourism Agency, Federal Sport Agency, and Moscow Government took part in the Forum. During his visit to the Forum S.B. Ivanov, Vice-Chairman of the Government of Russia named the key priorities in respect of innovation support, transport security, new challenges and threats associated with a wide expansion of IP and wireless technologies in security systems. In particular, the Vice Prime Minister stated that it was necessary to update the risk and protection appraisal methods and revise the national security standards.

 

 

100% “working” exhibition for technical specialists

 

As the leading technical event in Russia for the industry specialists with the synergy of exposition and business communication Security and Safety Technologies made it possible to enjoy the visit to and exhibiting at the event as much as possible. Both visitors and exhibitors had the opportunity to expand their business relations, improve their business using new clients, suppliers, and partners, get to know the expert opinion on matters of vital importance, and choose the optimal solution for their enterprise.

 

All of the exhibitors were informed beforehand of the audience profile showing interest in their proposals because the organizers began to work with the visitors long before the Forum start. Thanks to the Smart Event online system integrated into the Forum official website the industry professionals were able to obtain registration for a specific booth or seminar of exhibitors and business program while the exhibitors were able to obtain the list of their visitors with contact details, a more prepared and interested audience than in the previous years. Many exhibitors noted that “the contacts at the booths became more useful and substantive and the level of the visitors’ awareness increased considerably.”

 

For the first time business program was coordinated subject to the main public priorities of ensuring security and oriented towards the demonstration of novelties and system solutions in the areas which are financed from the state budget as a matter of priority. The Forum actions involved the whole range of threats for individuals, facilities, infrastructures, and business processes.

 

The X International Scientific and Practical Conference  Security and Safety on Transport revealed a great interest in the problem of transport security and gave another impulse to resolving the state-level tasks. The program for the first time included three intra-industry meetings dedicated to the role of video surveillance in the struggle against terrorism, discussion of security requirements and standards for domestic developments and products in the field of telecommunications, meeting of the heads of industry plants and organizations with the representative of the Expert Group within the Government Staff for investments in the development of domestic production of security equipment and systems.

 

The audience’s great interest was also aroused by the sectional meeting for confidential information protection (under the auspices of the Federal Service of Technical and Export Control of Russia), conference for museums and museum valuables protection (under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of Russia), and Dwelling Security conference.

 

Security and Safety Award this year began to sound in a new fashion. It became an efficient tool to inform the customers and partners about 40 novelties of the industry and also substantial marketing and technological advantages of the nominated products and solutions.

 

In 2011 DSSL company together with the organizers initiated a project within which video reports from the participants’ stands and interview with the visitors and market persons were displayed on the company’s website and the Forum’s official website. Over 60 Internet and press media rendered support to the event at the preparatory stage.

 

Next year the XVII International Forum Security and Safety Technologies will be held on February 14-17 in the Pavilion 1 of Crocus Expo.
